We have used One Snowy Night by Nick Butterworth as our key text this week. The children have enjoyed making the animals that live in Percy’s Park using collage and paints.  We have used small world animals to act out the story, wooden blocks to make warm homes for the animals to live in, our home corner to make meals for the animals and talked about different types of weather and how they feel.  We have supported this with fact books about night/day and summer/winter.  We have enjoyed musical statues, moving like different animals and watching some short clips of real animals in woodland areas.
