Verwood CE First School and Nursery celebrated Earth Day on Thursday 22nd April. This year's theme was ‘Restore the Earth’ and the children reflected on ways that they could play a part in this. The older children had fun learning about the recycling logos on packaging, what happens to our rubbish and wrote letters to companies about their choice of non-recyclable packaging. Children also enjoyed practical activities including making bird feeders and bug hotels.
