We have had a fun week in Nursery. The weather has been really super (apart from Friday morning) We made the most of the winter sunshine by learning and exploring in all our outside areas around the school. The children really do love the small adventure playground, where we had lots of “monkeys” climbing and swinging.

Our key text this week has been Night Monkey, Day Monkey by Julia Donaldson. We have looked at activities that we do in the night time and day time and discussed these. We have also continued with our theme of nocturnal animals and we have made collage animals.

We celebrated Chinese New Year by making some noodle and rice art and cooking some noodles. We have made tiger masks as it is the year of the Tiger. We will continue this next week as Chinese New Year is celebrated over a couple of weeks.
