Nursery Weekly Blog - 14/10/2022
This week we have had lots of fun with our natural environment. We have been able to collect leaves, sticks, acorns and stones during our walks. We have combined these with all sorts of resources to create some fantastic hedgehogs.
This was extended during our Forest School time, when we had a hedgehog hide and seek game and used clay and sticks to make our own prickly creatures to take home. We then made a whole hedgehog family using playdough and spaghetti.
We have looked at the story “Oliver’s Vegetables” as a focus for discussions about Harvest Festival. The children have used carrots and apples to print in autumnal colours.
The children went in small groups around the school grounds and were able to create some amazing pictures by rubbing crayons on the different types of surface.
We can't want for another fun filled week to complete this half term.
